What is volunteering?
Volunteering at Freedom is simply saying yes to being part of what God is doing — together.

Why do we volunteer?
Because serving isn’t about filling gaps, it’s about finding your place. When we serve alongside others, church becomes more than a Sunday — it becomes family. Whether you’re welcoming people, helping behind the scenes, or creating space for others to encounter Jesus through worship, every role matters.

Volunteering is one of the best ways to build real relationships, grow in confidence, and discover the purpose God has placed in you.

How can i start?

Starting is easier than you might think.

Simply visit Next Steps after one of our Sunday services. Our team is there to chat, answer any questions, and help you discover opportunities that match your interests, availability, and season of life.

No experience needed. No expectations. Just a welcoming conversation to help you find your place.

Our teams

You don’t need to have it all figured out — just a willingness to start. We’ll help you find a team that fits you.

Welcome

The Welcome team helps create a warm, relaxed first impression by greeting people at the door, answering questions, and helping guests feel at ease from the moment they arrive. If you love people and enjoy helping others feel at home, this team is a great place to start.

Next Steps

The Next Steps team is all about conversation — listening to people’s stories, answering questions, and helping them explore where they might fit within church life. If you’re approachable, encouraging, and love helping people take their next step, this team may be for you.

Kids

Our Kids team creates a safe, fun, and faith-filled environment where children can learn about God in ways they understand. From check-in to small groups, every role helps parents relax and kids thrive. Training and support are provided, and safeguarding is a priority.

Worship

The Worship team serves the church by leading times of praise and worship with skill, humility, and heart. Whether you’re a musician or vocalist, this team values preparation, unity, and a desire to serve rather than perform.

Cafe

The Cafe team serves drinks and refreshments while creating an environment where conversations and friendships can grow. It’s not about being a barista — it’s about hospitality, warmth, and helping people linger a little longer after the service.
